Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably already done a lot of reading. Late nights on Reddit. Podcasts that sound unnervingly like your own inner voice. Quiet wondering about whether any of it actually fits you. Here are the questions that tend to come up before we meet, answered as plainly and honestly as I can.

Getting Started

My office is at 1721 Central Avenue in Colonie, NY 12205, right in the Capital Region. You’re welcome to come see me in person.

If Colonie isn’t an easy drive, or you’d rather meet from home, I also work through a secure telehealth platform with clients across New York State. Settle in wherever your nervous system feels most at ease, and we’ll do the work from there.

Starting is one small, low-pressure step: a free 15-minute video consultation. Click any of the booking buttons on this site to schedule it. There’s no obligation to move forward afterward.

It’s simply a chance for us to talk, for you to get a feel for how I work, and to ask anything on your mind. We’ll figure out together whether an autism assessment, ongoing therapy, or both is the right fit.

Yes. You can call me directly at (518) 903-9671. If I’m in session when you call, leave a message and I’ll get back to you.

Each session runs 60 minutes.

The assessment usually takes three full sessions to complete. I’ll happily stretch that timeline when you need it.

Sitting with information this personal shouldn’t leave you drained. We move at whatever pace lets you actually take it in.

I work with adult women, 18 and older.

Many of the women who find me have spent years in therapy for anxiety, ADHD, depression, or trauma. They always sensed that some part of the picture was missing. If that’s you, you’re in the right place.

My Background

I earned my master’s degree from the University at Albany in 2013. Since then, I’ve worked as a clinical director in both private practice and nonprofit settings. Through all of it, I’ve kept a therapy caseload of my own.

Over the years, that caseload has spanned eating disorders, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, autism, personality disorders, and attachment and behavioral concerns. I’ve sat with a wide range of experiences. Very little catches me off guard anymore.

Yes. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State, and a Certified Autism Specialist.

There’s also something I don’t keep quiet about: I received my own autism and ADHD diagnosis at 33. I’ve sat on your side of this process. That shapes how I hold it for you.

Settling In

Very. My space is sensory-aware by design, with dim lighting, a swivel and rocking chair, weighted blankets, and a large chair you can fully curl up in. You don’t have to hold still or mask any part of yourself here.

Only if you want to. There’s no wrong way to get comfortable here.

Get to Know Me

Absolutely. Personal questions are welcome. I’ll always give you an honest answer, even if it isn’t always a deeply detailed one.

If you like it. Tears of joy tend to show up toward the end of the assessment, so you can plan accordingly.

Whatever Amazon delivered that week.

My habit tracker. There’s a very specific “click” of satisfaction in checking off a box that keeps me feeling productive and consistent.

Rock. Always.

Cats. Though it doesn’t mean I hate dogs.

Whenever you feel ready to move from questioning to knowing, I’d love to hear from you. Bring any question I didn’t cover here to a free 15-minute consultation, or call me at (518) 903-9671. No pressure either way.

Step Out of Guessing and Into Knowing

Moonrise is named for the phases. The moon doesn't change shape as it moves through them. You finally get to see it whole.

Your story has been there the whole time, adapting and masking and getting yourself through a world that never quite made room for you. You are not broken, and you don't have to keep guessing by yourself.

When you're ready to step out of the exhaustion of guessing and into the clarity of knowing, I'll be right here. Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation. No pressure, no obligation, just a conversation with a therapist and evaluator who has lived the question you're asking. Call or text (518) 903-9671.
